The foundation stone of Army Goodwill School Balapur, was laid on 1 Apr 1998 as a civic Action Programme (Sadhbhawana) by the Army. The school was initially housed in operational works shelters and was located contiguous to Headquarters of 62- Rashtriya Rifles (DOGRA) near Balapur village.
